Member activities
The acitivity in the county level fora varies, depending on the contribution of its local members. Typical acitivties are seminars, discussion groups and workshops, often in co-operation with other advisory authorities or professional groups.
FKP arranges a yearly 2 ½ days-conference at a high professional level, combinating lectures and presentations, local excursion and mutual discussion. The Secretariate sends an informal - and informative - newsletter for the members four times a year. with contributions from FKP's members as well as relevant news related to the field of planning.
Each autumn FKP arranges a study tour to Europe, enabling the members to catch up on planning trends at an European level.
External focus
FKP is a much used hearing instance for upcoming governmental decisions - but also takes initiatives independent of the authorities. The overall aim is to contribute to the development of municipal planning, for instance by collecting data on planning or developing guidelines of good planning.
FKP is as of January 2005 member of the ECTP-organisation.
